On Tuesday, April 5th, within the cycle of conferences Madrid Hub (Nihao Spain), the vice-president of the EU-China Trust (Association for the promotion of mutual and sustainable trust between the European Union and China) explained the mission of the organisation, whose priority is to strengthen the trust between the EU and China, focusing on the common interests and cooperation between both regions to face climate change and other global challenges of humanity.
EU-China Trust is an organisation that emerges in a rather special way, taking into account that its main value from the very beginning is its human team, made up of European and Chinese professionals who share their experience with each other, in order to achieve mutual understanding. As a result, the association has integration and a strong aspiration for intercultural collaboration in its DNA.
Its commitment to multilateralism in the fight against climate change is embodied in its promotion of inter-regional agreement in the field of sustainable finance, as this is a common framework not only for the EU and China, but also for the rest of the world.
During the event, the Vice President highlighted that the EU-China Trust is working on the development of a Forum on the issue between European and Chinese cities, where the participation of business and academia will be the key for this collaboration to become both practical and effective for the Chinese and European societies.
